About me

I discovered Yoga in my mid-twenties. This included following a strict discipline that was phenomenal in developing strength and flexibility I never thought was possible…not to mention the clarity and stillness that ensued for the mind.

Later on, I combined my twenty years of experience in Yoga with mobility-specific moves for joints and active stretching. The logical sequencing of movements I created are extremely effective in ridding the body of pain and discomfort.

My body, now in my fifties, looks and feels better than the one that I had in my twenties. Don’t get me wrong, this isn’t just about aesthetics, it’s important to be able to move and move well. Consistency with simple moves will help you prevent injuries and gain better range of motion. I will teach you how to recruit the appropriate muscles to achieve overall balance and function.

Lily has devoted her life to the cause of mind-body wellness through various Yoga disciplines, from Yoga instructor to FRC provider. From the beginning of her career, she has been working with high-profile clients and companies around the world. When she started out as ambassador for Lululemon in 2004, she led Yoga classes at Lululemon’s head office and had various corporate contracts as a chief wellness coach. She also shared her expertise with studios and gyms in Vancouver. 

After moving to Toronto in 2016, she quickly became a fixture at various high-end Toronto public and private studios, as well as being a Corporate Yoga Specialist at G Adventures, IDeaCouture, and House of Cool Animation Company. she has been featured on the Body & Soul television series as the Yoga Rep in the episode “An Introduction to Ayurveda and Yoga.”

Bowen Therapy

Bowen Therapy is a gentle whole body soft tissue treatment that helps induce relaxation through the nervous system so that the body’s innate ability to heal can speed-up.

Lily uses the Bowen Technique in her sessions when needed combined with movements for a complete holistic experience.

Results are noticeable just after a few sessions.

 

Bowen relieved the numbness!

After years of shoulder tightness I considered Bowen therapy as a means of dealing with the numbness that had developed in my arm. This discomfort was interfering with my ability to exercise and even disturbed me during sleep. A few sessions of Bowen helped to release the tightness and relieved the numbness in my arm.

Full range of motion again - Amazing!

Lily Eslahjou, my yoga teacher, introduced me to Bowen about 6 months ago – I had never heard of before.  I was trying to find some kind of treatment that could help my body recover from nagging, stubborn aches and pains that were sometimes preventing me from putting 100% into my active lifestyle. Bowen has helped me with my hamstrings, lower back and most impressively, with my neck. My stiff neck flared up a few months ago, and Lily treated me 2 days later. By the end of my session I was pain free, and had full range of motion again – I was amazed!

As someone who is sensitive to their body I was curious to try Bowen Therapy because of its subtle nature. Lily's methodology is ingenious!

Lily’s methodology can be described in one word – ingenious. She mixes traditional yoga with flexibility and stability and what I experienced during the session was a total sense of satisfaction, stretching from my head to my toes but in different ways than the traditional yoga teachings, some of which are also included, but again so interestingly so, that you keep coming back for more.

It was truly my favourite class of the week and I looked forward to it. I do hope I get to experience her teachings in the not too distant future.

By the third session, my shoulder motion was back to normal!

I know Lily through mobility and isometrics workshop and through yoga classes, most importantly, she healed my shoulder injury. An injury I suffered months earlier during a boot-camp exercise, Lily used Bowen technique and Controlled Articular Rotations (CARs) exercises to help me recover.
